Privacy Policy

1. Controller

StayBliss is responsible for processing your personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact: info@staybliss.world.

2. Data we process

• Account data: email address, and name and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
• Trip data: trips, destinations, dates, number of guests, hotels, tags, prices, favourites, shortlists and links you add.
• Uploaded images: screenshots you paste to detect prices.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and logs needed to run and secure the Service (for example to apply fair-use limits).
• Usage data: anonymised product analytics — page views and key actions (such as creating a trip or adding a hotel), linked to an anonymous identifier, never your email, and never the content of your trips.

3. Why we process it

We process data only to provide the Service (performance of our agreement with you), to keep it secure, fair and working, to understand and improve it in anonymised form (legitimate interest), and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

4. Sharing

Trips are shared with the people you invite through a join code or invite link; they can see and edit that trip's content. If you create a view link, anyone who holds it can see that trip's content without an account — share view links only with people you trust, and reset the link whenever you want it to stop working.

We use service providers who process data on our behalf: hosting and database providers, Google (sign-in and Maps/Places lookups), analytics (PostHog, anonymised), and AI providers (price detection from screenshots). These may be located outside Switzerland and the EU, including the United States; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

5. Browser extension

Our optional browser extension sends only the hotel details you capture with it — the page link, hotel name, address, price and image URL — to StayBliss's own server, together with the access token issued to you. That data is used solely to add the hotel to the trip you choose. Nothing is sent anywhere else.

6. Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete a trip or your account, the related data is deleted, except where we must keep it by law or it remains in backups for a limited period.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of or objection to processing, and a copy of your data. Write to info@staybliss.world. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (in Switzerland, the FDPIC).

8. Cookies and storage

We use only browser storage that is strictly necessary to keep you signed in and remember your settings (such as the map/list split and your chosen filters). We do not use advertising cookies. To understand how StayBliss is used and improve it, we use PostHog product analytics, which records page views and key actions (such as creating a trip or adding a hotel) linked to an anonymous account ID, never your email and never your trip content.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. See also our Terms and Conditions.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time by publishing a new version on this page.
